When did the media turn into a tabloid?

The sole objective of the main stream media is to get the gotcha moment.
And you can be sure that they will be watching every word that comes out of Saeah Palin's mouth. Jut waiting to jump on it and say: "I told you so"
These clueless buffoons already have too much power in this country. They can make or break a person just with one false article. Unless that person is a John Edwards. How long was it before they published the truth about him? And it was only because they had to.
Sarah has no compelling reason to ever meet with these biased bastards.
Look at how she is treated by that racist big mouth Oprah, who usually can't stop talking. If Sarah were black she would have been on her show in a flash.
Anyone who heard Sarah Palin's rousing speech at the GOP National Convention should now understand why Democrats have been trying to destroy her. And why, luckily for the country, they've failed.
Mess with a hockey mom and go after her family, and you're bound to lose some teeth.
Such as when Palin drew a distinction between "candidates who use change to promote their careers," and "those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change." Or when she said that "a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities" and small-town folks don't know what to make of candidates who talk about them "one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco." Or when she described Barack Obama as "a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or even a reform" and someone who "can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word 'victory,' except when he's talking about his own campaign."
Don't feel bad for the Democrats. They asked for it. The bunch that President Bush aptly described as "the angry left" has been high-sticking Palin since Day One with a series of assists from their friends in the news media.
Palin took a well-deserved shot at the media: "Here's a little newsflash for those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion. I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this great country."

Gov Palin has done press interviews with Maria Bartaromo, Larry Kudlow, and Glenn Beck within the last couple of months, before being chosen for VP. If the press weren't so lazy and stuck on stupid, they could have invited Palin on their shows anytime in the last several weeks, but it's easy to get Joe Biden or Chuck Schumer. Where was all this concern back when Hillary was running and refused to do these shows until Tim Russert agreed to have her own, having obviously made a deal to softball the questions and avoid various topics. As for the Mccain-Palin ticket.......
Maybe it is just me, and maybe it is my youth, but I am sick of the gridlock and partisanship coming from Washington. If we the people don't abdicate our jobs to fight for what is right, I think he will be a great leader. He is listening to us right now and as long as we continue to speak out, I think he will keep listening.

I would have to say that sole objective of the main stream media right now is to get Obama elected as president. Sarah gave an amazing speech at the convention. She didn't hold back any punches and Obama, the dems, and the main stream media are still dizzy from the blows.
