Stories like this hit close to home for everyone simply because we all know people who have been through this. My biggest concern is simply for Bristol. I don't know anything about her boyfriend , but I do know that she comes from a very careing family.
The way that the left wing is jumping with glee over this story is discraceful.
The Palin's are the real deal. They are handling this with class. And class is something the left knows nothing about.
I've said this since the Palin announcement. the Messiah and his VP didn't generate much of a bounce last week, and the Palin announcement sucked the air right out of their coloseum circus.
McCain chose Palin, even knowing about Bristol. That is enough to draw ME closer to him because I doubted him early on. but i have gained new respect for him since.
It is most telling though that the left is relishing the expected complete destruction of the republican party as the christians flee in droves over this. They expect a backlash against Palin that will destroy the McCain presidency. They think that because we believe in living toward a higher moral goal, we will crucify anyone who shows the slghtest human failing.
Yesterday, Newt Gingrich said that the democrats are terrified of Sarah Palin. and that they see her as the possible second coming of Reagan. She just needs to hold on to that. Her speech tomorrow night will be critical. I wish her all the good luck in the world.
The left will never understand being a Christian. They somehow think Christians think of themselves as perfect and therefore should never sin.
Well they are wrong and sarah along with Bristol will prove it.
Mark me down for a vote for the McCain/Palin ticket.

As far as the issue, as I said in my blog, I think most of us with children look at what they're going through and think 'there but for the grace of God, go I'.
The thing I like the most about this though is the double standard. Children are off limits unles they are the children of Republicans. The MSM has trashed the Bush girls, now it's the Palin children's turn.

This is an excellent point. They learned everything they know about Christians through Hollywood caricatures. The news of Bristol’s baby will reveal more about the media and the left than it will about Sara Palin. It will be insightful for Christians this week. Their talking points, which will be aimed at Christians, will betray their belief that Christians are predisposed to hating those who fall into sin in hopes that we will stay home this November.
